Women’s Basketball Wins Against Jamestown

The women’s basketball team defeated the University of Jamestown (North Dakota) Jimmies 98-67 on Saturday, Jan. 19, making their season record 19-2.
Concordia led by 10 points at halftime with a score of 46-36 and increased their lead to around 30 points during the third quarter, maintaining that gap until the end of the game.
Starters for the game included junior guard Grace Barry (#55), #5 sophomore guard Taylor Cockerill (#5), junior guard Riley Sibbel (#4), senior forward Quinn Wragge (#30) and junior forward Philomena Lammers (#42).
Lead scorers for the game included Cockerill with 22 points, Wragge with 16 points, Lammers with 15 points and junior guard MacKenzie Helman (#12) with 10 points.
The team will face the Doane Tigers at Walz Arena on Jan. 23 at 6 p.m. before heading to Ann Arbor, Michigan for the Concordia Invitational Tournament from Jan. 25-26 hosted by Concordia University–Ann Arbor.
