Concordia women’s basketball continued their ways all the way in Hawaii on the afternoon of Tuesday, Dec. 20 as they played the College of the Ozarks and won 78-68.
The win completes their series in Honolulu, Hawaii and pushes their winning streak to 15 games.
Lincoln native and junior guard Mary Janovich led the way for the Bulldogs with 16 points, completing seven of nine shots from the field, along with six rebounds and four assists in just 24 minutes of action.
Despite shooting just 50% from the charity stripe, the Bulldogs pulled away with the win behind junior guard Brenleigh Daum’s three three-point baskets, a much needed spark off the bench in the Bulldogs’ offense.
College of the Ozarks guard Cassidy Johnson lead the way for the Bobcats with 18 points but it was not enough to stop the Bulldog defense as Concordia forced 23 turnovers from the Bobcats in the contest.
Sophomore forward Quinn Wragge added 14 points for the Bulldogs, while junior guard Dani Andersen had 10 points.
For now, the Bulldogs enjoy some snorkeling, hiking and shopping in 80 degree weather while bringing home a 15 game win streak that has extended since the first game of the season.
The Bulldogs return to Walz Arena when they take on Briar Cliff on Wednesday, Jan. 4. Tip-off is at 6 p.m.
