If you missed Concordia University Nebraska sports this week, here is what happened.

Concordia women’s soccer had their first home game of the season against the Bellevue University Bruins Wednesday evening tying 1-1. After a scoreless half, Bellevue found the goal in the 56’ and junior Kierstynn Garner kicked her fifth goal of the season to even out the score in the 71’. Senior Angela Banks was the goalie for the game with three saves and one goal allowed. The team is now 1-1-1 overall and next plays No. 25 Benedictine College on Sept. 11.

Concordia men’s soccer returned home to play the No. 7 Bruins in Seward losing 2-1. Sophomore Ryan Wyvil scored the lone goal for the Bulldogs in the 35’. Junior Nolan Fuelberth was the goalie for the game with two saves and two goals allowed. The team is now 1-1-2 overall and next faces Grand View University on Sept. 7.
