The Concordia softball team played a double header against the Doane University Tigers on March 29 in Seward over the Easter weekend. The team split the games winning the first 3-2 and losing the second 4-2. The team is 11-17 overall and 1-3 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Their next competition is a double header against Hastings College on April 3.

Doane took a one run lead in the top of the third as Concordia struggled to get hits off. However, in the sixth inning, the team managed to get a few on base and thanks to a triple from sophomore Taryn Ganstrom, the Bulldogs snatched the lead. On the next bat, junior Hanna Bowers bunted so Ganstrom could run home to get the third run. Junior Megan Eurich was the winning pitcher for the Bulldogs going six hits for two runs, four strikeouts and recorded one error.

The second game started off rough with a Doane homer to take the immediate lead. The Tigers continued to add a run in the third to make a 2-0 deficit. Concordia managed to tie it up with a run by junior Jennifer Katz off a single from freshman Laycee Josoff, and another from junior Aubrey Bruning from a loose ball. Doane responded with two runs in the top of the sixth to end the game. Ganstrom was the pitcher credited with the loss, going six hits for four runs, two strikeouts and recorded one error.

The postponed game against Concordia softball and College of Saint Mary was rescheduled for April 15 at the Plum Creek Ballpark.
