If you missed Concordia Nebraska athletics this week, here is what happened.
The men’s golf team placed sixth out of 11 teams at the Doane Invite and had a top three individual competitor.
The meet occurred on March 17-18 and featured multiple Great Plains Athletic Conference teams. Nebraska Wesleyan took first place, with a total of 578. The Bulldogs came right in the middle of the 11-team field, with a total of 607, giving them sixth place.
Junion Jake Richmond was the top Bulldog golfer and finished in third place. He went even in both rounds with a 72 in round one and 71 in round two to end with a score of 143. He came in just two strokes behind first-place Jackson Lapour from Nebraska Wesleyan.
Concordia’s second best was senior Justin Webert who ended the competition tied for 14th with 149. He shot 75 in round one and 74 in round two.
The next meet will be the Briar Cliff Match Play Tournament on March 27-28 at the Green Valley Golf Course in Sioux City, Iowa.
