The Sower is Now Hiring for 2017-2018 School Year

Ready for a challenge?

It is time to begin building the editorial leadership team that will guide The Sower in the 2017-2018 school year.

The Sower will be filling the positions of managing editor, online editor, sports editor, photo editor, social media editor, copy editor and marketing/advertising manager.

These leaders make the editorial and content decisions for the print edition of The Sower, CUNESower.com, The Sower’s Facebook page, and the @cunesower Twitter and Instagram feeds.

Interested? Send a brief resume and, even more importantly, ideas you have to improve The Sower, to Ellen.Beck@cune.edu.

Experience with The Sower is not necessary if you are committed to excellence and willing to learn.

For journalism, public relations, marketing and communication majors/minors, working on The Sower can give you the experience you need to land that competitive internship.

But really, it’s great experience for students of all majors because using critical thinking skills and sharpening your writing will be important to whatever career path you are on.

Applications for these editorial jobs (Did I mention they are paid?) should reach me by March 28, and decisions will be made by early April. The new leaders will meet with existing editors and managers so we have a smooth transition.
