No. 8 Concordia Wrestling Medals Two

The No. 8 Concordia Bulldog wrestling team traveled to Marshall, Missouri, to take part in the Missouri Valley Invite. On day one, the Bulldogs had a combined seven wins. Senior Jr Lule and junior Dmitri Smith both won a pair of matches to advance to the quarterfinals in their own brackets.
Concordia took 10 wrestlers to the tournament and earned 14 points as a team on day one to sit in 15th of 28th place.
On day two, Lule and Smith continued to pace the Bulldogs. Smith went 2-2 on the day to earn a fifth place medal in the 125 pound bracket. Lule went 3-1 on the day and placed third in the 157 pound bracket.
The Bulldogs finished with 52 team points and earned a 14th place finish.
Concordia will travel back home to host a dual with GPAC rival No. 13 Doane College on Thursday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. The Bulldogs enter the match with a nine-match win streak against GPAC opponents.
