Doghouse Closed Due to Grease Fire, Plans to Open Again Friday
A grease fire broke out in the Doghouse Tuesday night. The fire was small and was put out quickly. John-Robert Hicks was the student supervisor on duty, and he acted quickly to follow the protocol used to put out grease fires with the ANSUL system, a fire suppression system. According to Director of Dining Services Nicholas Tyrance, the hoods in the Doghouse will need to be cleaned due to the chemicals used by the ANSUL system and the ANSUL system will need to be recharged. After everything is inspected and back to normal, Tyrance stated that they plan to open back up on Friday for lunch.
