The Bulldog dance and cheer team competed in regionals and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) on Feb. 26 and both teams finished in the top five with the best scores they got all season.
Dance finished the night fifth in regionals and fourth in GPAC with their highest score in the program’s history with 75. This put them in the running to make it to nationals, unfortunately they were not selected to go.
They will finish their season 4-1 in duals as well as finishing in second in the Friends Day of Duals, second in the Concordia Invite, fifth in regionals, and fourth in GPAC.
This was a historic season for the dance team as they became the first Concordia dance team to participate in the Friends Day of Duals. They also continued to beat their scores each and every competition that they were in. They also set a new score high with 75 at GPAC this year.
The cheer team finished with their highest score this season in regionals and GPAC finishing with a score of 72.93. The cheer teams season is also over as they were not selected to go to nationals.
They will finish the season 3-1 in GPAC duals as well as finishing third in the Friends Day of Duals, second in the Concordia Invite, and fourth in GPAC. The cheer team also became the first Bulldog team to go to the Friends Day of Duals.
Both teams are headed into the offseason looking to continue their momentum into 2022.
