Home Sports Concordia Baseball Pummels the Wesmen 19-0

by Garrett Suchanek

Tuesday evening the Concordia baseball team took care of business in a one game, nine-inning affair with the University of Winnipeg 19-0.

The Bulldogs are now 8-10 on the year and improved to 3-3 on their Arizona spring break trip.

Concordia’s batters had a hay day, especially senior Alex Cargin, who was not retired all day. The Bulldogs’ pitching shut down the Wesmen’s batters. In the final three innings of play, the Wesmen did not record a hit.

The Bulldogs will return to action on Thursday, March 10 for a pair of games. In game one Concordia will face Olivet Nazarene University at 1:30 p.m. CDT and Waldorf College in game two at 4:30 p.m. CDT.
