Bulldogs Softball Takes Two on Wednesday, Goes 7-0 in Arizona

Wednesday marked another successful day of play for the Concordia softball team in Arizona as the Bulldogs (10-2) took a pair of games by large margins in five innings each with a combined 35 runs on the day.
In game one Concordia squared off against the University of Purdue-North Central and won 20-1.
In game two the Bulldogs faced No. 25 St. Francis and won 15-2.
In both games Concordia jumped out to a quick lead. In game one the Bulldogs scored nine runs in the first inning, and in game two Concordia scored five runs early.
Sophomore pitcher Michaela Woodward started the first game and went three innings. Woodward also came in for relief in game two for one inning.
Concordia is now 7-0 on its road trip and will finish its spring break trip to Arizona with three games on Friday, March 11. The Bulldogs will play Cardinal Stritch at 10 a.m., William Penn University at 12 p.m. and Olivet Nazarene at 4:30 p.m.
