The Concordia Women’s Soccer team lost 3-2 to Briar Cliff at home on Saturday Oct. 27.
The Bulldogs scored first on a goal by senior Lauren Martin with 11 minutes left in the half. Briar Cliff responded quickly with a goal of their own from Bailee Hackley to tie it up at halftime.
Briar Cliff’s Jazmin Muratalla continued their momentum with another goal early in the second half. Their 2-1 lead did not last long as Lauren Martin scored her second goal of the game only a minute later to tie the game. The tie lasted until Taylor Beaulieu of Briar Cliff scored. This time, however, Concordia couldn’t muster a response, resulting in their second loss of the season.
The Bulldogs finished the regular season 11-2-5, and will begin GPAC tournament play on Wednesday Oct. 31.
