How long have you been playing soccer?
I started playing recreational soccer when I was five.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Keep going, don’t stop, and don’t ever get discouraged, because you can always do better. I used to think there was a certain limit that you could go to, but playing college soccer opened the limit into a never ending limit.
What is your favorite part about being a part of a team?
Even if there are certain guys that I’m not super close with, they are like a second family to me. We might not get along the best, but we still cooperate and love each other. It’s a certain kind of connection to where we all love soccer so much that we give our best in practice and in the games and we acknowledge each other for it.
What is something that your sport has taught you about yourself?
It has taught me how to open up and get along with a different variety of people.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you on the field?
One time, I got a ball, turned on it, slipped, and went completely horizontal and went down.
