The men’s basketball team lost 70-69 against Briar Cliff University in an intense Great Plains Athletic Conference home game this weekend, thanks to a 3-pointer buzzer-beater.
Senior Brevin Sloup (3) scored 21 points, more than any other player this game, including any other Briar Cliff player.
Senior Chuol Biel (30) made the first basket of the game and the second was a 3-pointer from Sloup, starting the game off strong. However, Briar Cliff quickly caught up, bringing the score to a tie multiple times throughout the game.
The Bulldogs were leading 69-67 until a last second 3-pointer flew through the hoop as soon as the last buzzer sounded, ending the game in the defeat for the Bulldogs. This left the boys with an overall 5-1 win loss record for this season.
