Bulldog Volleyball Falls to Ottawa University and Missouri Valley

The Concordia volleyball travelled to Marshall, MO. to play a doubleheader on Friday afternoon and went 0-2 on the day. Concordia suffered defeats from Ottawa University, 25-20, 25-23, 25-10 and Missouri Valley, 25-15, 25-21, 18-25, 31-29.
Pawnee City, Neb. native Jenna Habegger led the way against Ottawa with 8 kills on 16 attempts but it was not enough as Ottawa had 54 digs throughout the afternoon. Against Missouri Valley, Sophomore Emmie Noyd had a career high 16 kills and 3 blocks.
Both Ottawa University and Missouri Valley received votes in the NAIA preseason coaches’ poll for the 2017 season.
Ottawa Junior Kaylee Whittington had 14 kills and Missouri Valley Viking Dakota Santore proved too much for the Bulldogs with 13 kills.
Concordia now stands 1-3 on the early season.
The Bulldogs have a quick turn around continue play in the Viking Invitational and take on Avila University at 2 p.m. on the Missouri Valley Campus.
